BASEBALL Atlantic League: Since losing the independent Atlantic League's Gastonia (NC) Ghost Peppers after the 2026 season, the city of Gastonia is inviting qualified companies to submit proposals to manage and operate the Ghost Peppers' former home at CaroMont Health Park with a deadline of November 30, 2026. STATELINE, NV - The Tahoe Knight Monsters, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights and the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights, defeated the New Mexico Goatheads by a score of 2-1 in overtime. The fireworks in the first period came off of a fight in the opening three minutes between Tahoe's Tucker Ness and New Mexico's Dakota Seaman to energize the crowd, but both goaltenders- Tahoe's Alex Tracy and New Mexico's Isaiah Saville posted shutout periods, and the two teams went scoreless into the second. A Howling OT Gives Greensboro First Win of Season

GREENSBORO, NC - The Greensboro Gargoyles pulled off a Howl-O-Ween thriller, defeating the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 3-2 in overtime on Sunday afternoon at First Horizon Coliseum. Thomas Freel scored the game-winning goal, backed by a career-high 46-save performance from Ruslan Khazheyev. The Gargoyles trailed twice in the come-from-behind victory. Greenville opened the scoring 8:49 into the first period on a power-play goal from Brendan Gorman. Greensboro responded with a power-play tally of its own.
