November 8, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday reassigned goaltender Carter Gylander to the Grand Rapids Griffins from the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.
Gylander has appeared in four games with Toledo this season, showing a 2-2-0 record with a 2.78 goals-against average and an .895 save percentage. Last season as a rookie, the 24-year-old went 20-9-5 in 34 regular-season games with the Walleye to go along with a 2.61 GAA and a .907 save percentage. November 5, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday assigned defenseman Jacob Truscott to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.
Truscott made his professional debut with Grand Rapids on Oct. 18 against the Manitoba Moose and later bagged his first pro point with an assist on Oct. 28 at Iowa. Through two games as a pro, the Port Huron, Michigan, native has one assist, zero penalty minutes and an even plus-minus rating. Truscott was the 144th overall pick by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

November 5, 2025 - GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The American Hockey League on Wednesday announced that former Grand Rapids Griffins forward Alexandre Giroux will be inducted into the AHL Hall of Fame during the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic in Rockford, Illinois. The ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2026, with an induction class that also includes Chris Bourque, Jim Wiemer, and Wendell Young.
