February 28, 2026 - KNOXVILLE, TN - The Rail Yard Dawgs (25-19-3) defeated the Knoxville Ice Bears (22-20-4) by a final score of 5-2 to sweep the home-and-home series. Penalties piled up throughout the contest, with both teams individually eclipsing 90 penalty minutes for a total of 190 in 60 minutes of play. Olivier Beaudoin, Matt Dorsey, Caden Pattison, John Aonso, and Matt O'Dea all received misconducts for the Dawgs, along with five Knoxville skaters. Dawgs Sign Rookie Forward Pattison

February 28, 2026 - ROANOKE, VA. - The Rail Yard Dawgs announced on Saturday that the team has signed rookie forward Caden Pattison. The six-foot-three lefty will wear number 21 for Roanoke. Pattison played four seasons of collegiate hockey at Alberta Magnus College (NCAA-DIII). The Lake Stevens, Washington native appeared in 99 career NCAA games, tallying 24 goals, 26 assists and 224 penalty minutes while at Alberta Magnus. Dawgs Strike Late to Stun Ice Bears, 6-5, in Shootout

February 27, 2026 - ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs (24-19-3) fended off a late deficit to stun the Knoxville Ice Bears (22-19-4), 6-5, in a shootout Friday night. Alex Wilkins scored with just 2.8 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, Matt Dorsey netted the decisive goal in the sixth round of the shootout, and Gabe Rosek stood tall with 22 saves while turning away all six Knoxville attempts in the shootout. February 26, 2026 - The Bubba's 33 February Player of the Month for your Rail Yard Dawgs is... #9 Matt Dorsey! The six-foot-two forward has been excellent for the Dawgs since returning from the IR in late January, racking up four goals and six assists in the last nine games. The Wenatchee, Washington native has totaled eight goals and six assists in his first season with the Dawgs.
